SBI PO Exam 2014: 9 days left for registrations to end

State Bank of India (SBI) has invited applications for recruitment at 1837 posts of Probationary Officers through SBI PO Exam. The candidates willing to apply for the exam should hurry as only 9 days are left for the online registrations to end. The registration process ends on April 25.



In order to apply, the candidates must fit in the eligibility criteria. The candidates should age between 21 and 30 years.

Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government. Those who are in the Final year of their Graduation/Semester may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 10.08.2014.

The candidates will have to appear for the written exam and interview in order to be short listed at the post of Probationary Officer. There are 1897 vacancies available for the post.

The candidates will have to go through two phases of the exam in order to be selected. The first phase includes Objective Test and Descriptive Exam whereas the second stage consists of group discussion and interview.

The objective test will carry 250 marks and will contain four different sections, namely English Language (grammar, vocabulary, comprehension etc.), General Awareness, Marketing & Computers, Data Analysis & Interpretation, Reasoning (High Level). All four sections contain carry 50 marks each and are required to be completed in the total duration of two hours.

The descriptive exam carrying 50 marks will test English Language and is required to be completed in a duration of one hour.

Candidates who qualify both, the objective test and descriptive test will be called for interview and group discussion.

The marks secured in first phase will be converted and calculated out of 75, whereas marks secured in second phase will be converted and calculated out of 25. Thereby, out of the total of 100 marks, merit list will be published.
