RBI hiked Repo Rate by 25 basis points to 7.75 %

As per the Second Quarter Review of Monetary Policy 2013-14 released by the Reserve Bank of india (RBI), the Repo rate has been increased by 25 basis points from 7.5% percent to 7.75% keeping in view the surge in inflation and other factors.

रशीद मसूद को चार साल की जेल की सज़ा

 कांग्रेस सांसद रशीद मसूद को सीबीआई की विशेष अदालत ने एमबीबीएस सीट आवंटन मामले में चार साल जेल की सज़ा सुनाई है. अदालत ने कुछ समय पहले उन्हें भ्रष्टाचार के मामले में दोषी ठहराया था. सजा सुनाए जाने के बाद उन्हें हिरासत में ले लिया गया है. इस तरह मसूद सुप्रीम कोर्ट के आदेश के बाद संसद सदस्यता गंवाने वाले पहले सांसद होंगे. मसूद 1990 और 1991 के बीच केंद्र की विश्वनाथ सिंह सरकार में स्वास्थ राज्य मंत्री थे.

तीन आतंकी ढेर, सेना ने ध्वस्त की कैंप की एक इमारत

जम्मू-कश्मीर में सेना के कैंप में घुसे आतंकियों से मुठभेड़ खत्म हो गई है। इस मुठभेड़ के दौरान सभी तीन आतंकवादी मार गिराए गए हैं। हालांकि सेना का तलाशी अभियान अभी जारी है। मुठभेड़ के दौरान सेना को कैंप की एक इमारत भी ध्वस्त करनी पड़ी। इन हमलों में 9 लोगों की जानें गई हैं। इनमें एक लेफ्टिनेंट कर्नल, 2 सेना के जवान, 4 पुलिसकर्मी और 2 आम नागरिक हैं। अमेरिका में प्रधानमंत्री मनमोहन सिंह और पाकिस्तानी पीएम नवाज शरीफ के बीच होने वाली मुलाकात से ऐन पहले गुरुवार सुबह जम्मू-कश्मीर में आतंकियों ने दो जबरदस्त हमले किए। सेना की वर्दी में आए इन आतंकियों ने पहले कठुआ जिले के हीरानगर थाने पर हमला किया और फिर सांबा सेक्टर के आर्मी कैंप में घुस गए।

अहमदाबाद विस्फोट का आरोपी आतंकी अफजल कोर्ट परिसर से फरार

 इंडियन मुजाहिदीन का आतंकी अफजल उस्मान शुक्रवार को अदालत परिसर से फरार हो गया। अफजल को मकोका कोर्ट में पेशी के लिए लाया गया था। कोर्ट में अफजल और उसके अन्य 22 साथियों पर आरोप तय होने थे। सभी पर वर्ष 2008 में अहमदाबाद और सूरत में हुए बम विस्फोटों में शामिल होने का आरोप है। पुलिस ने अफजल को पकड़ने के लिए चारों तरफ नाकेबंदी कर दी है। पुलिस शुक्रवार को अफजल और 22 अन्य आरोपियों को अदालत में लेकर पहुंची थी। इसी दौरान अफजल पुलिस को चकमा देकर अदालत परिसर से भाग निकला
